Agri-Perspective

Cropping Systems and Soil Management Program focuses on soil and crop management practices that improve efficiency, profitability, and soil environmental quality. Our program is looking at soil organic carbon and nutrient dynamics, soil-plant relations, soil organic matter - microbial community interactions, and their relationships with nutrient cycling and other ecosystem services in dryland and limited-irrigation cropping systems.

We recently started cover crops project. Baseline sampling and cover crop planting is done, updates will follow soon.

Soil sampling and plot establishment campaign. David and Miguel collecting soil samples, Joleen mixing and bagging.
